Izmenjava mnenj z direktorjem Instituta »Jožef Stefan

16. februarja je veleposlanica Yoshida povabila prof. dr. Leona Cizelja, direktorja Instituta »Jožef Stefan« (IJS), in prof. dr. Aleša Udeta, vodjo Odseka za avtomatiko, biokibernetiko in robotiko, na srečanje na svoji rezidenci. Razpravljali so o trenutnih raziskovalnih in razvojnih dejavnostih na inštitutu ter o sodelovanju z japonskimi raziskovalnimi ustanovami.
IJS je bil ustanovljen leta 1949 in je največji raziskovalni inštitut v Sloveniji. Izvaja vrhunske raziskave na številnih področjih, vključno z osnovno fiziko, robotiko, znanostjo o materialih, kemijo, kvantnimi tehnologijami, informacijsko tehnologijo in vesoljskim inženirstvom. Inštitut vzdržuje tudi aktivno sodelovanje z japonskimi univerzami, raziskovalnimi inštituti ter zasebnimi podjetji.
Med srečanjem je veleposlanica Yoshida predstavila najnovejše usmeritve japonske znanosti in tehnologije, hkrati pa je bila seznanjena s prednostnimi raziskovalnimi področji inštituta. Obe strani sta se strinjali, da bosta še naprej spodbujali dvostransko sodelovanje in izmenjave na ključnih področjih.
On February 16, Ambassador YOSHIDA invited Prof. Dr. Leon Cizelj, Director of the Jožef Stefan Institute (IJS), and Prof. Dr. Aleš Ude, Head of the Department of Automatics, Biocybernetics and Robotics, to his residence for an exchange of views. They discussed the current research and development activities at the Institute and cooperation with Japanese research institutions.
Established in 1949, IJS is the largest research institute in Slovenia. It conducts cutting-edge research across a wide range of fields, including basic physics, robotics, materials science, chemistry, quantum technology, information technology, and space engineering. The Institute also maintains active collaborations with Japanese universities, research institutes, and private companies.
During the meeting, Ambassador Yoshida provided an overview of Japan’s latest science and technology policies and was briefed on the Institute’s current priority research areas. Furthermore, both sides agreed to continue their efforts to promote bilateral cooperation and exchange in the priority fields of both countries.
