Veleposlanica Yoshida se je 1. julija srečala z dr. Igorjem Senčarjem, državnim sekretarjem za evropske in mednarodne zadeve v kabinetu predsednika vlade. Izmenjala sta mnenja o načinih za nadaljnjo krepitev sodelovanja med Japonsko in Slovenijo na različnih področjih, vključno z varnostjo, gospodarstvom ter znanostjo in tehnologijo. Državi si delita temeljne vrednote, kot je demokracija. Razprava je potekala v luči napredka, doseženega pri sodelovanju med Japonsko in zvezo NATO ter med Japonsko in EU v trenutnih mednarodnih razmerah.

They exchanged views on ways to further strengthen cooperation in various fields, including security, economy, and science and technology, between Japan and Slovenia, which share fundamental values, including democracy. This discussion was held in the light of the progress in Japan-NATO and Japan-EU cooperation in the current international situation.
