The Government of Japan invites young Slovenian leaders to participate in Japan's Friendship Ties Program, "MIRAI," a seven-day youth exchange program to be held in January 2027.
“MIRAI” means “future” in Japanese.

- To enhance intellectual discussions
- To build strong networks among future leaders of Japan and Europe
Schedule
- January 20–26, 2027 (four days in Tokyo and two days in another city)
Program (subject to change)
A participant from Slovenia will take part in a program focused on the theme of “Science and Technology.”
- Lectures on Japan and its key policies
- Visits to Japanese companies, research institutes, and historical sites
- Discussions with Japanese students and experts at universities and think tanks
Key Eligibility Requirements
- Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students and be at least 20 years of age.
- Applicants must be proficient in English.
- Applicants must not have stayed in Japan for a continuous period of more than six months in the past.
- Applicants must not have previously participated in programs funded by the Government of Japan.
